Children introduced to cinema

Çocuk Sinema Okulu (Children's Cinema School) is a professional learning experience in on-camera acting, filmmaking and screenwriting for children and teens aged 8-16.
In our special 35-week programme, students work with experienced teachers and learn every stage of filmmaking — from the script to acting, from shooting techniques to editing. At the end, their own films premiere in a real cinema, to the sound of applause.
2015 is when we started as Türkiye's first and only cinema school for children. Since then we have introduced more than 1,500 children to the magic of cinema and given them the chance to bring their own stories to the big screen.

Every year, our students' films have met audiences at memorable premieres attended by masters of Turkish cinema.
For 10 years, Çocuk Sinema Okulu has given children the chance to make their own films and premiere them.
Students learn in groups of at most 10, so everyone has direct access to the camera and the teacher.
After the training, children choose their own role in front of or behind the camera, then the shoot begins.
Camera, directing and editing are also taught with the phones and tablets children carry every day.
Every student's journey takes six steps.
After the pre-registration form, which parents fill in, we hold an introductory meeting to get to know your child and their interests.
Directing, screenwriting, camera, acting, editing, make-up, dubbing and more. Classes have at most 10 children, so everyone works actively in every lesson.
After the training, children decide for themselves whether they want to be in front of or behind the camera. Director, actor, editor, producer — the choice is theirs.
Their own scripts, their own set. The shoot is run by the children from start to finish, guided by their teachers.
Editing, sound, music, dubbing and the poster. Every stage is completed with the students until the film is ready for its premiere.
The programme ends with a premiere where the children's films meet an audience in a real cinema, to the sound of applause.
